Three in a row connected Delta-robots are integrated in the case packer emkon. FLEXPICK TP, which places products (in this application big tubular bags with pre-packed single products) upright or horizontal into trays. In particular, the key factor for the use of Delta-robots was the space-saving ceiling-installation. Thus, the footprint of the machine did not have to be extended in the width.

The incoming products are detected by a camera and its position precisely recognized. Afterwards, the products are picked up by the Delta-kinematics and are placed into the trays according to the customized packing scheme. The machine can handle flat bags as well as stand-up bags.

The machine offers two special features: the special gripper and the modular building method of the emkon. FLEXPICK TP. The building method enables our customers, if needed, to add further units of Delta-robots with only 1,5m² – at any time. We use the Food Grade Variants of the Delta-robots for applications in the food industry.

Our customers are able to realize various packing-schemes due to the implementation of inhouse-produced gripper variations with quick-change system and high-precision rotary axis system. In this case, the upright position in the tray is facilitated by the incline of the swivel-mounted case track so that the bags stand in a secured position during the packing process.
